Standing Firm on God's Truth

I've had a lot on my mind lately--things that I think I should write about. And then I get a little scared..because those things are so controversial that I know there are very strong opinions on both sides of the aisle. But I think that I'm not being obedient to the Lord by being silent, so here it goes...marriage is meant for:

Hear me out..listen to my heart. As my hearts desire is Gods will for us. And it all goes back to 'In the beginning'. And in the beginning God created Adam and Eve. If God wanted men to be with men, or women to be with women-then he would have created Adam and Adam or Eve and Eve. But he didn't.  He created Adam-he saw that Adam was lonely and wanted to give Adam a companion. That companion was a female, Eve. My pastor has said this a few times: "Gods original intentions are his eternal intentions". And he's right-what God started in Genesis he will be faithful to see it through. If we claim to be 'christians' then we should be standing up for God's Word. Not compromising it. Does that mean Christians need to be hateful to the homosexual community? Are we to be mean and nasty to them? Absolutely not!!! But it also does not mean we need to allow the sin. You see, when Jesus had his ministry-he never once said sinning was ok. His response always to sin was "go and sin no more". He never hated the person or was mean to them..but he didn't tolerate the sin either. And as people who call themselves Christians, we should be standing firm on the Word of God.
We shouldn't be compromising God's word to fit what the culture around us wants. The Word of God is true, it is life, it is the same yesterday, today and forever, it is God breathed!!!! The Bible is the only book ever made that is living!!! The Word of God has everything we will ever need in life. (There is a whole other post for the Bible..but I will save that for another time..I said I had a lot of things on my mind!!) There are many more points that I could bring into this right now, but I'm going to let it be this for now. As what God wants should be all the reason we need to stand up for him.
