VaCAtIoN!!!

We survived spring break!! We went down to Florida for a week-and had a great time! Friends of ours go each year-so I asked if we could book at the same condo resort. In a 24-floor condo building-our condos were 1 condo apart from each other. So the kids were able to go from our condo to theres through out the week. Worked perfectly.

 Hayden and his blue pants. He literally wore these pants each day over vacation. Well, he wears them every day anyways..but being in florida I would have thought he'd want some shorts or a swim suit. Nope! This child played on the beach in his blue pants and white t-shirt.

 We had 1 rain day..and it was perfect timing. After being in the sun for 3 days and my kids and I being fried, I was ready for a 'shopping' day! My kids each had there own money to spend when we went to the mall. When we got there Hayden was super excited about picking out a toy. Well, we stopped at Old Navy and he fell in love with some red tennis shoes. So he picked the shoes instead! So now, along with his blue pants, he wears his red shoes! :-)

 All the kiddos on the pirates cruise..what a fun trip that was!!

 And what vacation wouldn't be complete without getting some new pets, right?! We don't typically do this..but all 3 kiddos picked out hermit crabs. I'm not really a fan, at all, but the kids love them. Emma's actually died on the way home-so her daddy took her to the store that night to get a new one. She was most excited to get a crab-as she had some in her classroom last year. She was a great teacher for all who got hermit crabs!

 And the end of our vacation..didn't exactly want to come home..but it's like the saying goes, "theres no place like home".

Standing Firm on God's Truth

I've had a lot on my mind lately--things that I think I should write about. And then I get a little scared..because those things are so controversial that I know there are very strong opinions on both sides of the aisle. But I think that I'm not being obedient to the Lord by being silent, so here it goes...marriage is meant for:

Hear me out..listen to my heart. As my hearts desire is Gods will for us. And it all goes back to 'In the beginning'. And in the beginning God created Adam and Eve. If God wanted men to be with men, or women to be with women-then he would have created Adam and Adam or Eve and Eve. But he didn't.  He created Adam-he saw that Adam was lonely and wanted to give Adam a companion. That companion was a female, Eve. My pastor has said this a few times: "Gods original intentions are his eternal intentions". And he's right-what God started in Genesis he will be faithful to see it through. If we claim to be 'christians' then we should be standing up for God's Word. Not compromising it. Does that mean Christians need to be hateful to the homosexual community? Are we to be mean and nasty to them? Absolutely not!!! But it also does not mean we need to allow the sin. You see, when Jesus had his ministry-he never once said sinning was ok. His response always to sin was "go and sin no more". He never hated the person or was mean to them..but he didn't tolerate the sin either. And as people who call themselves Christians, we should be standing firm on the Word of God.
We shouldn't be compromising God's word to fit what the culture around us wants. The Word of God is true, it is life, it is the same yesterday, today and forever, it is God breathed!!!! The Bible is the only book ever made that is living!!! The Word of God has everything we will ever need in life. (There is a whole other post for the Bible..but I will save that for another time..I said I had a lot of things on my mind!!) There are many more points that I could bring into this right now, but I'm going to let it be this for now. As what God wants should be all the reason we need to stand up for him.
