On January 1, 2010 my little brother Jake asked the love of his life to marry him. And when an engagement happens in the family-the party starts! My sisters-Jess, Jenni & Sunmi & I planned out a little surprise engagement party on February 6. And we pulled it off, the happy couple was completely shocked. They had no clue what we had been up to. :) The pictures aren't in order of the events at the party...but I'll do my best to explain. Right below is a picture of the happy couple with the diamond cake.
A little game that we had the happy couple play was to put the blind folds on and 'dress' themselves. We had went to Dittos and picked out some pretty ridiculous lingerie. It was a hoot picking it out. I was kind of surprised though that a resale store had some of the things they did when it came to the under garments!

Another game we played was how well do they know one another. I have to say-they pretty much nailed all the questions..but I can't quite remember what question this was....could it be who will be on top?? or who will pray before dinner?? :)
The theme of these celebrations is 'bling bling' Here Aunt Barb is checking out the newest bling bling, or sparkle sparkle. We all wear sunglasses when the couple enters. Sunglasses b/c we are blinded by the sparkle.
Jake is drilling Emma..he couldn't understand why Emma didn't tell him what was going on, um, that is because she didn't know!
Very surprised!!! As we all sing to the tune 'We Wish You a Merry Christmas" but the lyrics were: We wish you a happy marriage, we wish you a happy marriage, we wish you a happy marriage and a dozen of kids!! :)
Hayden was such a trooper the whole night!
