The Barbie Clock

Emma has had her eye on a barbie clock since this summer. One night we were at Target. I had to get a few things-and since we didn't have much else to do, we just kind of wandered through the store looking at stuff. Jason ended up in the electronics-so the kids and I took a stroll through the isles-and Emma finds a Barbie clock. A barbie alarm clock to be exact. At the time we didn't need it. She had just gotten a Dora clock for her birthday-but to avoid her throwing a fit in the store I said lets just put the clock in the cart, and when check out time comes we'll tell the cashier that we don't want it yet-and to discretely put the clock behind the counter. And she kindly did so, however Emma saw. So we got to the car, without the clock and Emma starts throwing a huge fit. So we told her a little white lie. We told her the clock was broken and needed to get fixed. Thinking she was going to forget about it. Boy were we wrong. Ever since, any time we would go to Target, drive by Target she would ask if her Barbie clock was fixed. The answer was always 'no'. So we decided to get it for Christmas for her. We are at Target-and no Barbie Clock. I found it online-but there was no way to get it to our house in time. So today, while at Meijers I thought, lets just take a stroll through the electronics-maybe we'll find a Barbie clock. And we did!! Emma is finally getting her clock. She is going to be SO excited!



I have no idea why she wanted this clock, we've tried seeing if she would want a Disney Princess clock, but she told daddy: 'no, that isn't the barbie clock'. She knows what she wants.
